Human Trafficking Awareness: Empowering Hotel Staff to Recognize the Signs
The Challenge:
Human trafficking is a serious global issue, and the hospitality industry often finds itself on the front lines of this fight. Red Roof Inn needed a training course to educate frontline hotel workers on identifying red flags and taking appropriate action. The course needed to be concise, impactful, and easy to understand for employees with diverse language preferences.
The Idea:
To ensure the course was effective, we focused on creating a short, straightforward training program that conveyed the gravity of the issue through powerful visuals and clear messaging. Using a provided script and storyboard as the foundation, we aimed to design a course that resonated with employees and equipped them with practical knowledge to identify potential signs of human trafficking.
The Solution:
This multi-language course was developed in Adobe Captivate using the multilingual template and RediTEXT application I created. The design prioritized:
Clarity and Simplicity: The course was kept concise to ensure maximum retention and engagement.
Visual Impact: Striking images and minimal text were used to emphasize the seriousness of the issue.
Accessibility: Support for multiple languages ensured the training reached all employees effectively.
This impactful course equips hotel staff with the knowledge to identify red flags and contributes to Red Roof Inn’s commitment to combating human trafficking.
